Operating the DVD player and Power on may work intermittently. This may be
caused by a short circuit between the FPC terminals of the rotary encoder.
This encoder is located on the front panel.
Solution:
Replace the rotary encoder with a new one listed in the table below

DVPS500D : 800001 to 862600
DVPC600D : 800001 to 825296
