Subject: SYSCON VERSION UPGRADE
Symptom:
(2340) Occasionally distorted noise may be present at the start and throughout DVD
playback. This distortion may be present on 5.1 output as well as analog
audio output. Also block error noise can be seen if you hit pause, then
playback. If Video CD is played, the menu may not be displayed.
Solution: Replace the ROM of the system control micro IC803 with new version V 1.8.
The ROM is on the MB-78 board.
