The MB-80 board may be using the new soldering technique as illustrated in
the picture below. This is actually an improvement to prevent solder bridges
between the fine-pitched IC leads. Please note that intermittent solder
connections can happen, particularly on IC312.
Solution:
If you are experiencing no DVD play, it may be caused by intermittent solder
connections on IC312. Please resolder the IC carefully then retest the unit.
