4. Select the day of the week and then for Period 1 enter the start and end time periods for the
selected day. Each day can have up to four time periods.
Note: The time format is 24-hour.
5. Repeat step 4 for each day of the week.
If the desired times for this alarm output are identical to those of other days, select Copy to and
select the day of the week to which you want to copy this schedule. Select All if the same
schedule is used all week. Select Copy and press Enter twice.
7. Select OK and press Enter or left-click the mouse to return to the Alarms menu.
8. To copy the settings to another external alarm input, select Copy to Output in the Alarms menu.
Select one of the outputs listed and press Enter or left-click the mouse. Go to Copy and press
Enter or left-click the mouse. A message appears about copying the parameters. Select OK to
accept.
To setup the notification settings
For each alarm notification type, you can specify up to several ways to handle an alarm event.
1. In the Alarm menu go to the Notification setup button and press Enter or left-click the mouse. The
Notification submenu appears.
2. Go to the Notify on list box and select one of the exceptions listed. See Table 18.

3. For each option on how to respond to triggers and alarm outputs press Enter or left-click the
mouse to enable () or to disable.
4. When completed, select OK to return to the Alarms menu.
When alarm occurs
Hard drives are full (only in No overwrite)
The input and output have a different video format
Login failed on the unit Local as Remote
Two devices on the network have the same IP address
Network connection is lost
A distorted video signal is connected to the video input
