Using Static Routes

Note
It is generally not necessary to specify static routes. Only define static routes if it is required.
A static route is a setting that explicitly specifies the route for packets destined for a certain
subnet. Packets with a destination that does not match any defined static route will be routed to
the default gateway.
To modify the default gateway, see the section on Using a LAN Connection.
The Static Routes page lists all existing routes, including the default, and indicates whether each
route is currently "Up", or reachable, or not.
To add a static route
1. Click Network in the main menu, and click the Static Routes tab.
The Static Routes page appears, with a listing of existing static routes.
