Hard Disk 32-bit Access

Enabling this parameter improves system performance by allowing the use of the 32-bit hard disk access. This
enhanced IDE feature works only under DOS, Windows 3.x/95/98, and Novell NetWare. If your software or hard
disk does not support this function, set this parameter to Disabled.
This parameter appears only when you are in the Advanced Level.

DMA Transfer Mode

The Ultra DMA and Multi-DMA modes enhance hard disk performance by increasing the transfer rate. However,
besides enabling these features in the BIOS Setup, both the Ultra DMA and Multi-DMA modes require the DMA
driver to be loaded. By setting this parameter to Auto, the BIOS automatically sets the appropriate DMA mode for
your hard disk.
This parameter appears only when you are in the Advanced Level.

CD-ROM Drive DMA Mode

Set this parameter to Enabled to enable the DMA mode for the CD-ROM drive. This improves the system
performance since it allows direct memory access to the CD-ROM. To deactivate this function, set the parameter
to Disabled.
This parameter appears only when you are in the Advanced Level.
