TCP/IP protocol
The term generally used to refer to
the established set of means and
procedures by which devices
connected to a TCP/IP network
communicate with one another. TCP/
IP is the most widely used of the
various protocols extant, and is also
used on the Internet.
Web server
A server machine that distributes data
for viewing over the Web, or the
service provided by such a machine.
Also referred to as a WWW (World
Wide Web) server.
