Alarm Inputs

If selected in the RSS, the TRICK will monitor two alarm inputs on its accessory connector. Please
refer to the Service Manual, Chapter 1 for details of pin-outs and Technical Specification for the
expected signal levels.
Typically, when the TRICK is installed inside the ENLN4055 repeater/base station housing kit, the
two alarm inputs are connected to the MAINS FAIL and BATTERY LOW alarm outputs on the power
supply. However, the alarms may be used for any application (eg. site security alarm, fire detector,
etc).
1.4.1
Alarm 1
When the TRICK is used within the ENLN4055 housing kit, Alarm 1 is typically connected to the
MAINS FAIL alarm output on the power supply.
When Alarm 1 is activated, the TRICK will send the following over air and down the wireline;
programmable alarm tone sequence sent once when the alarm is activated
single beep (911 Hz, 160ms duration, nominal level -10 dB) every 30 seconds. This single
beep is transmitted on its own or summed with audio if present. The single beep will stop
when Alarm 1 becomes deactivated.
When the TRICK is used within the ENLN4055 housing kit, Alarm 2 is typically connected to the
BATTERY LOW alarm output on the power supply.
1.4.2
Alarm 2
When Alarm 2 is activated, the TRICK will send the following over air and down the wireline;
programmable alarm tone sequence sent once when the alarm is activated.
double beep (1823 Hz 160ms duration, followed by 911 Hz 160ms duration, nominal level -10
dB) every 30 seconds. This double beep is transmitted on its own or summed with audio if
present. The double beep will stop when Alarm 2 becomes deactivated.
The table below describes the operation of the TRICK in response to signals applied to it's alarm
