7.2 Sample Racks
(4)
Temperature Calibration
When the microplate rack for the autosampler with a
thermostat is used in thermostatic control, a difference occurs
between the indicated temperature of thermostat and the
actual sample temperature.
Therefore, temperature calibration is required using the offset
values shown in Fig. 3-3 as a reference. (Set a correction
value (offset value), referring to "3.2.2 Analyzing Operation,
(7) Thermostat, (b) Temperature calibration" in Section 3 of
the instruction manual of Chromaster 5210/5260
autosampler.)
For example, input +1.5 C as a correction value (offset value)
when thermostat activating temperature is set at
10 C for operation at room temperature 20 C.

Relationship between Set Temperature,
Room Temperature and Offset Value
NOTE: The offset values (Fig. 3-3) are set as typical values
for the microplates recommended by Hitachi High-
Technologies. When a stricter temperature control is
needed, measure the liquid temperature in the wells
after reaching the set temperature and temperature
calibration should be carried out so that the aimed-at
temperature can be reached.
