2. INSTALLATION 2.1 Installation to Primaide 1000 Series Unit AID is installable into the back of each unit of Primaide 1000 series (except for an organizer, autosampler and FL Detector). After attaching AID to the back of a unit, connect the e-Line connector (upper) that supplies 5 V for the unit and the e-Line connector of AID by using the attached e-Line cable.
Page 22
NOTE: 5 V power can not be supplied to a USB interface board from AID. Avoid connecting a USB interface board directly with AID via e-Line. (Connect so that 5 V power will be supplied to AID and USB interface board from the unit in which they are installed.) NOTE: The electronic components on the AID circuit board...
2.2 Combination with Primaide 1000 Series In order to perform data acquisition using AID for Primaide, at least two Primaide 1000 series units for mounting AID and a USB interface board are required. An example of connection of AID and an HPLC system is shown below.

Since pump A cannot be used as a power supply unit of 5 V in a Low-pressure gradient system, three or more Primaide series units are required (so that the e-Line connector on 5 V supply side of pump A can be used for synchronization with pump B).
