Assembling the Upper T-fitting, Inlet
Hose and Ball Valve Hose
Note: To insert the barbed fitting into the hose more easily,
apply a light coat of a non-petroleum-based lubricant, such as
vegetable oil to the barbed end of the fitting.
1. Insert the flanged elbow that you removed in step
Removing the Inlet Hose (page 18)
2.5 x 66 cm (1 x 26 inch) and secure the fitting with the
clamp that you retained

4. 90° hub fitting
2. Insert the barbed end of a 90° hub fitting into the other
end of the inlet hose and secure it with a hose clamp as
shown in
Figure
36.
Note: Align the face of the elbow with the face of
the 90° hub fitting.
3. Assemble an O-ring into the O-ring groove of the 90°
hub fitting

4. Insert the hub of the 90° fitting into one end of the
upper T-fitting

5. Install the large O-ring into the O-ring groove of the
reducer hub and the small O-ring into the O-ring
