5.4.5 GS4000-160E2/GS4000-320E (DC)
The maximum number of installable power supplies for the GS4000-160E2 and that for
GS4000-320E (DC) are different; however the same method of replacing a power supply is
applied for both the GS4000-160E2 and the GS4000-320E (DC).
You can replace a power supply without powering off the device.
This section describes about the procedure for replacement taking up the case of GS4000-
160E2. You can replace a power supply for GS4000-320E (DC) in the same manner as you do
for GS4000-160E2.

(1) Detachment of a Power Supply
Comply with the following procedure when removing a Power Supply.
Step 1
Set the breaker of the power supply targeted for replacement to OFF.

Step 2
Set the circuit breaker of the power facility to OFF.

Caution: The additional installation or the replacement of a power supply should be
done by a trained engineer or a qualified maintenance person.
NOTE: When installing another power supply, remove the dummy blank panel.
Store the removed dummy panel safely, so that it doesn't get bent or lost.
