The space between a device and other objects must be at least 70mm.

WARNING: DO NOT BLOCK THE VENTILATION SLOTS. IF YOU BLOCK THE
VENTILATION SLOTS, THE INSIDE OF THE DEVICE WILL OVERHEAT AND
COULD CAUSE A FIRE. RESERVE AT LEAST 70 MM OF SPACE FROM THE
VENTILATION SLOTS OF EACH DEVICE TO ENSURE PROPER AIR FLOW
THROUGH THE VENTILATION SLOTS
NOTE: If you locate other devices with fans near the GS4000, the air flow from those
units may interfere with others. In an extreme case, this could cause the device
to overheat and fail. Therefore, remember to keep adequate space between
interfering units. You may also install a partition between devices to prevent the
air flow of one device from blocking the other. If you install a partition, locate it
more than 70mm away from the device.
NOTE: The temperature inside a rack must be within the range of the operating
temperature of the device (0-40 deg. C). In case that the temperature inside a rack does
not satisfy the conditions required, you will have device reliability problems. Therefore,
consider the following ways to keep the temperature inside the rack within the proper
of the operating temperature.
-
Set a fan inside a rack for thorough ventilation.
- Use a front/back door which has holes, or detach a door sometimes to let
the air flow through a rack.
- Decrease the number of the devices stored in a rack, or put a device under another
heating object.
