27 Troubleshooting
Cause:
The communication settings are incorrect.
Remedy:
Align the communication settings with the external device.
If you have changed any of the communication settings (Ethernet,
EtherNet/IP, PROFINET or RS232C) in the "System settings", restart
the laser marking system.
For DHCP of EtherNet/IP connections, check the connection status of
your DHCP server.
For RS232C connections, disable flow control on the external device.
Cause:
The communication settings were overwritten by a backup file.
Remedy:
Check the communication settings. For Ethernet and EtherNet/IP
connections, check the IP address and other Ethernet settings. When
you restore a backup file, the communication settings are overwritten by
the backup data.
Cause:
Surrounding equipment produces noise.
Remedy:
Securely ground the frame ground (FG) of the laser marking system
or the surrounding equipment.
Insulate the power and signal lines from each other if they have been
routed in parallel.
Shield the signal line.
Insulate the power supply of the laser marking system from other
equipment.
Use a noise cut-off transformer to absorb noises from the power
supply.
