Video Options

To access a preset's video options, press the right arrow ( > ) button until the pointer is in
front of Video and press ENTER. Use the arrow buttons to view or change video options.
Table 2 describes each option.

Video Options

Definition
Description
Input
Use this option to select an input and format type:
NTSC
PAL
PAL-M
525SD
625SD
OFF
Resolution
Use this option to select a horizontal resolution: 720, 704, 544,
528, 480, or 352.
For NTSC, PAL-M, and 525SD
SE-2000 encoders also supports a vertical resolution of 512.
For PAL and 625SD
olutions give improved picture detail, but require higher bitrates
to maintain details without noticeable compression artifacts.
Bit Rate
Select the desired video packet bit-rate (video transport stream
rate) as shown below:

Use this option to select a GOP rate: 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21,

filter: OFF, AUT (automatic), or a value from 1 to 10. 1 applies
the weakest filtering and 10 applies the strongest filtering.
Film Mode
Use this option to enable (ON) or disable (OFF) the film-mode
detection for 3:2 pulldown.
Aspect
Select the desired screen resolution signaling: 4:3 (standard
Ratio
aspect ratio) or 16:9 (widescreen aspect ratio).
Format
SE-1010 Only The LED displays 4:2:0 (for standard distribution
feeds). This value is read-only and cannot be changed.
SE-2000 Only Select the desired MPEG profile video: 4:2:0
(for standard distribution feeds) or 4:2:2 (for high-quality
contribution feeds).
Statistical
During normal standalone operation, this read-only field is set to
