Step 4: Prepare refr gerant p p ng
The refr gerant p p ng s ns de an nsulat ng sleeve attached to the back of the un t. You must prepare
the p p ng before pass ng t through the hole n the wall. Refer to the Refr gerant P p ng Connect on
sect on of th s manual for deta led nstruct ons on p pe flar ng and flare torque requ rements,
techn que, etc.
1. Based on the pos t on of the wall hole relat ve to the mount ng plate, choose the s de from wh ch
the p p ng w ll ex t the un t.
2. If the wall hole s beh nd the un t, keep the knock-out panel n place. If the wall hole s to the s de of
the ndoor un t, remove the plast c knock-out panel from that s de of the un t. (See F g. 5.3 ). Th s
w ll create a slot through wh ch your p p ng can ex t the un t. Use needle nose pl ers f the plast c
panel s too d ff cult to remove by hand.
