Sharpening the Blade(s)
1. Use a file to sharpen the cutting edge at both ends of the
blade (Fig. 36). Maintain the original angle. The blade
retains its balance if the same amount of material is
removed from both cutting edges.

2. Check the balance of the blade by putting it on a blade
balancer (Fig. 37). If the blade stays in a horizontal
position, the blade is balanced and can be used. If the
blade is not balanced, file some metal off of the back
side of the blade. Repeat this procedure until the blade
is balanced.

Installing the Blade(s)
1. Install the blade, washer, and blade bolt (Fig. 35).
Important
The bent edges of the blade must be
pointing toward the top of the mower to ensure proper
cutting.
2. Position the blades 90 degrees to each other (Fig. 38).
3. Tighten the blade bolt to 50 N m.

Removing the Mower

1. Park the machine on a level surface, disengage the PTO,
set the parking brake, stop the engine, and remove the
ignition key. Pull the wire off of the spark plug(s).
2. Move the height-of-cut lever to the lowest position.
3. Pull the idler arm assembly in and remove the V-belt
from the pulley (Fig. 39).
4. Disconnect the spring from the engagement lever
(Fig. 39).
5. Release the mower from the tunnel by lifting the tunnel
off of the two welded pins and pulling the tunnel
rearward approximately 10 cm. Secure the tunnel to
prevent it from falling back down.
