11.2 Troubleshooting table

* In the case of welding errors without any error (Err) indication, refer to the following table to search for their causes.
Front panel display is not turned on
Error

Neither high frequency wave nor arc is generated.
High frequency wave is generated without arc.
Bead turns black.
Lack of arc occurs.
Insufficient arc start

Probable causes
• Switch is not ON.
• Blown fuse.
• Tripping of circuit breaker.
• Loose connections.
• Cable is disconnected or severed.
• Loose connections.
• No phase.
• Switch is not ON.
• "GAS" switch is placed to "Purge".
• Main cock is not open.
• Gas nearly runs short.
• Insufficient flow rate.
• Excessive flow rate.
• Loose connections
• Hose is damaged.
• Torch is bent at acute angle.
• Coating is damaged.
• Sign of insulation deterioration.
• Torch switch is not ON.
• Insufficient fastening of the collet.
• Sizes of collet body, collet and electrode
do not match.
• Insufficient fastening of the torch body.
• Attach an earth ring ass'y.
• Insufficient cable size (sectional area.)
• Loose connections
• Poorly energized base metal.
• Check torch angle, distance between
electrode and base metal once again.
• Try to set "Hot Cur Level" to "High"
• High-frequency gap (electrode surface)
is dirty.
