Configuration

After setting up the test equipment set, interface COM3 for the
CRE 800 Common Rail actuation must be turned on in the
"Configuration" menu of the EPS945 software, and the maximum
rail pressure must be set to 180 MPa.
Sequence:
1. Switch on the EPS using the main switch.
2. After booting the PC, run the EPS945-PE/VE/CR applicati-
on in the Bosch application selection.
3. The "Injection component test – main menu" screen appears
on the display. The application runs an initialization.
4. Choose F7 (Configuration) in the soft key bar. A password
request appears.
5. Enter "1958" as a password in the input line and confirm your
entry by pressing the key E
6. Selection menu option Configuration/Devices. The De-
vices window appears in your screen with different selection
fields.
7. Choose the selection field for the CRE800 Common Rail
control COM 3 and select the "On" configuration.
8. Select the ESC key to save your settings.

9. Select the menu option System/Test mode. The Confi-
guration - Test type window appears.
10. Choose the selection window Maximum rail pressure
setting.
11. Choose the setting "180 MPa".
12. By pressing the F12 key you can save your entry and then by
pressing ESC you can quit the menu.
13. The "Injection components test – main menu" screen then
display in addition to the KMA802 and drive system (DZE 800)
status displays a status display for the CRE 800 unit.
14. The software then runs another initialization procedure, and
if the hardware is successfully detected it switches from a
red status display to a green one. After this, the system is then
ready for operation.
