The following example explains in more detail how sag and angularity compensation can be
implemented by a grid of 4 x 5 (lines x columns) in size. The size of the whole grid is
2000x900mm
axis and 300mm along the y axis.
Note
The maximum dimensions of the grid (number of lines and columns) depends on the
following points:
No. of lines: Dependent on number of axes in the system (dependent on NCU type)
No. of columns: Dependent on the maximum number of values which can be entered in a
compensation table (up to a total of 2000 values)
The number of lines and columns is set via the following machine data:
MD18342 $_MN_MM_CEC_MAX_POINTS
(max. number of interpolation points of sag comp. (SRAM))
The machine data is memory-configuring.
