Configuring alarms
10.1 Creating alarm texts
Proceed as follows
1. Create alarm text file
2. Insert alarm texts
3. Create foreign-language alarm text files and translate texts
4. Create configuration file
5. Complete configuration file
6. Restart HMI sl
Create alarm text file with HMI sl
1. Copy the original file "oem_alarms_deu.ts" from the "Siemens" folder to the
/OEM/sinumerik/hmi/lng/ or /User/sinumerik/hmi/lng/ folder.
2. Enter an OEM-specific name, e.g. "namexyz_deu.ts". Note the following when assigning
a name:

You can also create the alarm text file externally on a PC.
Insert alarm texts
1. Open the alarm text file "namexyz_deu.ts " in the editor.

– Any name can be chosen but it must be written in lower case
– The name must be followed by an underscore character
– Use the defined abbreviations for the languages, as shown in the "Supported
languages" table
– The name must contain a period and file extension
