Bird Screen Assembly
These steps are to be performed after completing
Steps 1-12 of the OA Hood Assembly process,
starting on page 154.
1. Position the SCREEN CENTER SUPPORT
(item #4) so that the pre-punched holes in
the BOTTOM FLASHING (item #11) and
HOOD END (item #3) are aligned. Fasten
with #8-18x1/2 Phillips flat-head sheet-metal
screws, as shown below.
For 350/352 casing:
Repeat this step for each of the two
additional screen supports (item #4),
spanning the width of the hood.

Step 1: Install screen center support.
2. Slide FRAMED BIRD SCREEN(s) (item #15)
into the slits between the side triangles
(items #9 and #10) and the screen side
supports (item #2).
3. Fasten the perimeter of the FRAMED BIRD
SCREEN(s) to the hood assembly using
5/16" sheet-metal screws spaced at 12"
centers, as shown in the following figure.

Step 3: Install perimeter screws at 12" centers.

4. Position SCREEN SUPPORT FLASHING
(item #5) on top of the screen and align over
the SCREEN CENTER SUPPORT (item
#4). Secure in place with 5/16" sheet-metal
screws.
For 350/352 casing:
Secure each of the two additional screen
support flashings over the other two screen
supports.

Step 4: Install screen support flashing.
OA Hood assembly with bird screen is complete.
