RISetime
RISetime
command/query
The
:MEASURE:RISETIME
command places the instrument in the
continuous
measurement mode
and starts
a
Risetime measurement.
The
RISETIME
query
measures and outputs the rise
time of the
first
displayed rising (positive-going)
edge.
For
best measurement accuracy
set
the sweep speed
as
fast
as
possible while leaving the leading edge of
the
waveform
on the
display.
The
rise
time
is
determined by
measuring
the time at the lower threshold
of the rising edge then
the time
at
the
upper threshold of
the
rising edge and calculating the
rise
time with
the
formula:
rise
time
=
(time at upper threshold point
-
time
at lower threshold
point)
If
the horizontal scaling
is
questionable when
this
measurement
is
made
an "error
11" is
placed in the error queue.
