The Peripherals Menu
HP-IL :
HP-IB : these are controlled by the configuration switches 7 and 8 (the rightmost switches
when looking at the rear panel of the 1630 . If the switch configuration is 00, then the
messages are as follows:
HP-IL: Inactive
HP-113 : 1630G is controller
If the switch configuration is 01, then the messages are as follows:
HP-IL: Inactive
HP-IB: External Controller
If the switch configuration is 10, then the messages are as follows:
HP-IL: External Controller
HP-IB: 1630G is controller
Logic Analyzer HP-IB Address :
displays the two-digit HP-IB address that is set by the configuration switches 1
through 6.
Printer HP-113 Address : defaults to 01, however can be manually set to any mumber between 00 and 30 if no
other instrument is assigned to that address . If the logic analyzer is set to address 01,
then the printer address defaults to 02 .
Disc HP-113 Address: defaults to the lowest available HP-IB address (i .e ., defaults to 2 if logic analyzer is
address 0; otherwise will be at address 0) .
Print Non-Waveform Menus In :
Selects code for information transfer to external printer.
[Text] selects information transfer using ASCII codes.
[Graphics] selects information transfer using HP-GRAPHICS codes.
NOTE
Waveform chart menus are always transmitted in HP-
GRAPHICS code .
Rear Panel Port : selects control signal to be supplied through the rear panel BNC output PORT to an
external device, as follows:
[Pulse on State Tracepoint] - analyzer outputs 15 nsec TTL positive pulse when it
finds state tracepoint .
[High until State Tracepoint] -after run start, analyzer outputs TTL high until it finds
state tracepoint . Then it switches TTL low .
[Low until State Tracepoint] - after run start, analyzer outputs TTL low until it finds
state tracepoint . Then it switches TTL high .
[High on Last Sequence]-analyzer outputs TTL high when it is searching for the last
term in a trigger sequence .
[Constant High] - analyzer outputs TTL high .
[Constant Low] - analyzer outputs TTL low.
Beeper : when [On], the analyzer will beep whenever it completes a measurement, and
whenever itflashes an error or warning message on screen . When [Off], the analyzer
will not beep at any time .
