Adjustment Points When
Making neutral adjustments to the sensor.
1. Remove the rear wheel cap by following the
procedure on the previous page.
2. Loosen the two sensor mounting screws.
3. Set the battery in place and turn the power
switch on.
4. Shift the position of the sensor and search
for the point at which the service LED be-
hind the hub lights.
Right wheel
Turn the sensor once until it exceeds the
lighting range. Then slowly turn it coun-
terclockwise and find the point where the
LED starts to light.
Left wheel
Slowly turn the sensor clockwise and find
the point where the LED starts to light.
5. Tighten the mounting screw of the sensor in
that position. The figure shows the position
of the service LED for the right wheel. For
the left wheel, the position is 180° symmetri-
cal (bottom side).
CAUTION:
(Service mode: Always access the Service
mode before adjusting the sensor. If the
sensor is moved improperly, the wheels may
turn.)
1. The service LED is located approximately
30° to the right of the gear pinion. Turn the
wheel to the point where the LED can be
seen.
2. A warning LED will blink rapidly if the
neutral position of the sensor is not set
adequately with the power switch on. If it
is properly adjusted, the warning LED will
go off after lighting for 3 seconds when
the power switch is turned on again.
3. Apply grease to the three sliding portions.
