For a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 using ARP head studs, torque the head studs in three steps: first to 30 ft/lbs, then 60 ft/lbs, and finally 90 ft/lbs. After reaching 90 ft/lbs, back each stud out about 1/6 turn and re-tighten to 90 ft/lbs again, following the correct sequence. This ensures even clamping and proper head seating.
