Do you cut the rail to the specific length I provide you or do I adjust the rail to the length of the stairs? Is the rail shipped in multiple sections to be assembled on site?

The Bruno SRE-1550 Electra-Ride II rail is adjusted to the length of the stairs by measuring along a straight line placed on the stairs and adding a specific measurement to custom fit the installation. The rail is shipped in multiple 8-foot sections that are cut and assembled on-site to fit the stairway.
