EXPOSURE COMPENSATION This function makes the image brighter or darker by adjusting the exposure compensation value for CCD. The bigger the exposure compensation value is, the brighter the image is and the smaller the exposure compensation value is, the darker the image is. 1 Rotate the function dial to and press the button.

ADJUSTING THE BRIGHTNESS OF THE LCD MONITOR This allows you to adjust the brightness of the LCD monitor according to the angle at which you watch it or the brightness around the monitor so that the display on the LCD monitor can be seen clearly. 1 Rotate the function dial to "SET"and slide the power switch to turn on the camera.
SETTING THE BEEP SOUND The beep sounds each time you operate this camera with the buttons or function dial and you can turn off or on the beep. The beep is turned on unless you change the setting after you purchase this camera.
SWITCHING THE VIDEO SIGNAL FROM THE VIDEO OUTPUT TERMINAL As there is a video-out terminal in this camera, you can watch the captured images on TV by connect- ing this camera to your TV with the supplied video cable. The video output signal can be switched between NTSC and PAL. What is an NTSC system and a PAL system? Both are the color television broadcast system.

SPECIFYINGTHETIMEFOR POWERSAVEFUNCTION To save the battery power, this camera will be turned off automatically if it is not operated for more than 2 minutes. (Power Save) The time for the auto power off is set to 2 minutes unless you change the setting after you purchase this camera.

SELECT DIFFERENT LANGUAGES You can select different languages for the message displayed on this camera. The supported lan- guage varies. SETTING THE DATE AND TIME When taking a picture, the date and time are recorded as the part of the image information. If the built-in clock of this camera is not set correctly, the wrong date and time are recorded. Set the date and time correctly by performing the procedure below.
