I’m struggling to reset the room temperature

To reset the room temperature on a Drayton MiStat P710R, press the + or - keys to change the current temperature setting. If you have thermostatic radiator valves (TRVs), adjust them accordingly for better control. If needed, set a reasonable temperature for the whole house.
