Problem
The motor does not

TROUBLESHOOTING

Possible Reasons and Solution
• Check if unit is plugged in.
• Check if Locking Bar is locked in place properly.
• Check if all parts are assembled properly.
• Check if there is any residue left between Blade
and Receptacle.
• Check if all parts are assembled properly
and in the correct position.
• Juicing overripe fruit may result in too much
pulp and will clog the Filter. Turn machine off
and clean the Filter.
• Too much pressure may have been applied
with the Pusher while processing causing the
motor to accidentally overheat. Power down,
disassemble, clean and allow to cool; see page 4.
• Juicing overripe fruit may result in too much
pulp and will clog the Filter. Turn machine off

• Make sure the Juice Spout is in the downward
position while juicing.
• Push gently with the Pusher. Pushing too hard
may cause the juice to come out of the side of
the Receptacle.

• Lubricant burn-off may occur during first use
but should go away thereafter.

How do I remove the filter and blade from this juicer? There are no holes and crescent tool for this model.

The filter and blade in Jack LaLanne's Power Juicer E-1188-1 are a single piece and are not meant to be separated. To remove them, first disassemble the machine by removing the receptacle from the base. Then, lift the filter/blade out of the receptacle by rotating it slightly to allow it to settle out of alignment.
