Volume Controls

Your telephone has several volume adjustments. While the phone is idle, you can turn the ringer to high, medium, low, or vibrate
alert. The vibrate setting will turn off the ringer but, instead, will vibrate when you have an incoming call. This allows you to be
in a meeting and not interrupt the meeting with the ringing phone, but you don't have to miss any calls either. While on a call
you can adjust the volume level of the caller.
To adjust the ringer volume and/or tone:
1. Press R/VOL on the side of the handset in Standby mode to select seven ringer tones and volume
combinations.
To turn off all ringing indications, switch the ringer selection switch on the side of the
handset to OFF. When the switch is turned off, you will see the Ring Off icon (
the switch is turned on, the Ring Off icon will disappear.
Vibrate Mode
"Ring off" shown on the above menu display is the Vibrate Mode. If you set the ringer off and the
handset is not on the charger, the handset will vibrate when there is an incoming call. If you set the ringer off and
the handset is on the charger, the handset will ring as Ring Type-A Low.
To adjust the handset volume:
1. Press R/VOL on the side of the handset during a call to change the earpiece volume on the
handset.
