Troubleshooting
Before you call service
Refer to Operating Guide (for Copier) regarding machine problem.
Check
No response from the Printer
Following message appears.
"There is no paper or cable is not
connected on the LPT1. Check the printer
cable or network connection, and/or add
paper, then, start again."
Screen font and printed fonts are different
The font type is wrong.
The character is not smooth.
Different character, symbol from the
original is printed.
Font error message appears in the control
panel display.
Cannot print correctly
No print from the middle of 1st page, or
irregular image appears in the middle of
printing.
Fine line print cannot be obtained.
# Check if there is paper,
if not, add paper.
$ Check the connection of the parallel
interface cable.
% When connecting to network, check the
status of the digital copier using map.
# Check if the selected font is installed on
the PC.
$ Select "Always use TrueType" in the
printer driver font screen.
Select outline font and not bit map font.
Check if the printer driver of the digital
copier is selected.
Installed Font is wrong.
Re-install the correctly font.
Printer memory is full. Install expansion
memory, or change the resolution to 300
dpi.
# Select 600 dpi resolution.
$ Select the smoothing function for 1200
dpi.
