Pre-Upgrade Tasks
To check the operational state of the enclosure with UPS (A-side) power
1. Open ftSMC.
2. Expand ftServer (Local).
3. Expand ftServer I/O Enclosures.
4. Click I/O Enclosure - 10.
5. Verify that the value for Op State: Reason is Primary and the value for
ActiveCompatibilityFlag is True.
If the value for Op State: Reason is Secondary and the value for
ActiveCompatibilityFlag is False under I/O enclosure 10, you can manually set this
enclosure as the primary enclosure.
To set the enclosure with A-side power as primary
1. Open ftSMC.
2. Expand ftServer (Local).
3. Expand ftServer I/O Enclosures.
4. Expand I/O Enclosure - 10.
5. Expand VTM adapter - n
6. Right-click VTM - n
7. Click Set Primary in the shortcut menu.
When you set the VTM adapter in I/O enclosure 10 as the primary VTM, the
UPS-protected enclosure (CPU enclosure 0 and I/O enclosure 10) automatically
becomes the primary enclosure.
