Using AF to Focus*
About the AF point with Live mode
® You can press the <_;_ > keys to move the AF point to where you
want to focus (it cannot go to the edges of the picture). To move to
the center AF point, press the <_> button.
® To magnify the image at the AF point, press the <(_ > button.
if focusing is difficult witn the magnified image, return to the full view and
use AR
Fthe image flickers, making _t difficult to focus, stop the Live View
shoottng and resume Live View snooung under the actual light source [o
be used. Check that the flickering has stopped, then autofocus.
If you autofocus in the fuh view. then magnify the image, the focus might
be off.

AF is not possible with Remote Switch RS-6OE3 [so_a separately).
_ Depending on the subject or the lens used. achieving focus may be
aJfficult or take some ume. In such cases, focus manually (p.98) or
autofocus with Quick mode. (p.102)
Even when focus has been achieved, if you press the <,_X_> button again,
me lens wilI move to focus agatn.
The image brightness may change during and after the AF operation.
If you want AF and AE lock to work separately, select the [_9. _ Custom
Functions (C.Fn)] menu's [ShuttedAE mock button] (p." 58_ and set it to
[1: AE locktAF].
The AF speeu may be different during the full view and magnified view.
