IV. OPTICAL SYSTEM
A. Removing the Scanning Unit
1) Remove the main PCB.
2) Remove two cable clamps to remove the ferrite core.
3) Remove the top cover and document glass.
4) Remove two screws from the cable cover to remove it, then cut two cable clamps.
5) Rotate the gear mounted on the drive motor to move the scanning unit away from the home
position.
