Step 1—Preparing the workstation Introduction This section describes how to prepare your workstation for NIC installation. Procedure: Preparing the workstation To prepare the workstation for component installation, use the following procedure. Table 1 Preparing the workstation Step Action Download the latest BIOS and driver updates for your workstation from http://www.hp.com/go/ workstationsupport. - Page 4 Step 2—Installing the dual-port NIC Introduction This section describes how to install the NIC in your workstation. Procedure: Installing the NIC Table 2 Installing the NIC Step Action Release the PCI retainer levers by pressing them down, then out (1), as shown next. Remove the applicable PCI Express slot cover (2).

The reassembly process involves reinstalling the side access panel and restoring power to the workstation.
