SimpleSwitch Connectivity
The SimpleSwitch Connectivity feature provides a convenient way to perform initial set up of the connection
mode on your scanner by following the steps below. Switching from traditional USB to Ethernet requires plugging
in a live Ethernet cable and restarting the scanner. Once configured, the scanner will remain in that mode unless
reconfigured using the instructions on the back of this sheet.

Power on scanner with
NO Ethernet or USB cables connected.

Power on the scanner.

Press and hold the Smart Button for
about :10 seconds until you hear two
audible "chirps". After the second
"chirp", release the button.
TRADITIONAL USB MODE

USB Cable
Plug in power supply and
the USB cable.

USB Cable
(for RNDIS mode)
The scanner powers off after the second
chirp. Plug in the USB cable and power on
the scanner. The light will briefly flash purple
