    2. Technology Pickup/Feed Control Pickup/feed control of the Paper Feeder uses the same mechanism as printer. Rollers in the Paper Feeder are operated by the PF Feed Motor (M20) via gears. Pickup/feed control sequence of the Paper Feeder is shown below: 1.
  • Page 16: Lift-Up Operation

    2. Technology Lift-up Operation Paper inside a cassette is lifted up by the Lifting Plate. The Lifting Plate is lifted up by rotating the PF Pickup Motor (M20). Presence/absence of paper is detected by the PF Paper Sensor (SR20). When the Lifting Plate is rising, the PF Pickup Motor (M20) is controlled to keep the paper surface steady so that pickup can be performed stably.

    2. Technology Cassette detection Presence/absence of a cassette is detected by the PF Cassette Detection Switch (SW21). The cassette detection flag of the cassette is detected by the PF Cassette Detection Switch inside the Paper Feeder.
  • Page 18: Cassette Double Feed Prevention Mechanism

    2. Technology Cassette Double Feed Prevention Mechanism This machine employs the Separation Roller method for the cassette pickup double feed prevention mechanism. The Separation Roller method of this machine is a method that prevents paper double feeds by using the Cassette Separation Rollers without drive.
