the service microphone socket may also be used for personality programming and
maintenance using a PC and a Radio Interface Box (RIB). When the RIB is connected to the
TRICK, the programming destination may be selected using the PROGRAM button on the
front panel and there is no need to connect the RIB directly to the radios.
When the programming tool is fitted in the front panel socket, the TRICK module is selected
for programming by default. Pressing the PROGRAM button once selects the Rx radio for
programming; pressing the PROGRAM button a second time selects the Tx radio; a third
press returns the programming destination to the TRICK. Refer to the Installation and
Programming guide for details of the programming procedure.
1.3.1
Indicators
The use of the front panel indicators is dependent on the mode of operation. In the normal operating
mode the symbols above each indicator are used; when the equipment is being programmed the
indicators joined by the lead-lines are in operation.
The functionality of the indicators in "programming" mode is described in the Installation and
Programming guide, the functionality of the indicators in "normal" operation are described below:

Indicates that the RX radio has detected valid audio.
