e Press TIME again if you want to know the re-
maining playing time of the CD (T.REMAIN).
e Press TIME once more if you want to return to
the elapsed playing time of a track.
GOING BACK TO THE START OF A TRACK
DURING PLAY
e Press PREVIOUS or e/<@d briefly.
— The track starts playing again.
SELECTING ANOTHER TRACK DURING PLAY
e Using the digit buttons, enter the required track
number.
— This appears on the display.
Or:
e Again and again press PREVIOUS
or Ka/<<
twice briefly or NEXT or /
1 once briefly un-
til the required track number appears on the dis-
play.
— Shortly after this the track selected starts to
play.
SEARCHING FOR A PASSAGE DURING PLAY
e Keep PREVIOUS or Kd
pressed in order to
search in the direction of the start.
e Keep NEXT or 3/1 pressed in order to search
in the direction of the end.
While searching the sound is audible speeded up.
If you release the button, play is resumed.
STARTING WITH A PARTICULAR TRACK
e Press CD.
e Close the CD tray with «
e Wait until the display shows
the number
of
tracks and the playing time of the CD.
e Using the digit buttons, enter the required track
number.
— This appears on the display.
— Play starts with the selected track.
SCANNING A CD
e Press CD.
e Close the CD tray with «
e Wait until the display shows
the number
of
tracks and the playing time of the CD.
Press INTRO.
The display shows INTRO SCAN and 10 for 2
seconds.
Press PAL
You now hear the first 10 seconds of each track.
Press INTRO again if you want to hear a com-
plete track.
— INTRO SCAN goes out.

Notes:
— If you want to hear the fragments for shorter or
longer, in the 2 seconds that the display shows
10 you can enter a period of between 1 to 59
seconds using the digit buttons.
~— You can also press INTRO while the CD is play-
ing, but then the length of the fragments cannot
be changed.
REPEATING A CD
e Press ALL/PRG prior to or during play.
— The display shows REPEAT.
e Press ALL/PRG again in order to stop the repeat
function.
— REPEAT goes out.
REPEATING A PASSAGE
e Press AB at the required start point.
— The display shows REPEAT A.
e Press AWB at the required end point.
~ The display now shows REPEAT AB.
— The section between point A and point B is re-
peated continuously.
e Press ALL/PRG to stop the repeat function.
— REPEAT AB
goes out.
INTERRUPTING PLAY
¢ Press D/L
— The display shows IL
e Press PA again if you want to resume play.
— Iigoes out.
STOPPING PLAY
e Press Mif you only want to stop.
e Press aif you want to stop and remove the CD.
PROGRAMMING
— For each CD you can store up to 20 tracks in any
desired order in a program. It is possible to pro-
gram a track more than once.
— If you attempt to store more than 20 tracks, the
display shows 20 and the total playing time of
the program.
— Press CANCEL on the remote contro! to change
an incorrectly entered track that has not yet
been stored.
- The display shows E if you attempt to store a
track that is not on the disc.
Storing a program
e Press CD.
e Close the CD tray with .
e Wait until the display shows
the number
of
tracks and the playing time of the CD.
e Press MEMORY.
— The display shows MEMORY and P-07.
e Using the digit buttons, enter the first required
track number.
— This appears on the display.
e Press MEMORY again.
— You now
see P-02 and the number
indicator
1-20 shows the track numbers stored.
e Enter the remaining track numbers required and
store them by pressing MEMORY after each one.
-~ The number indicator 1-20 always shows which
tracks are stored.
Checking a program
(Only possible if the CD is not playing!)
e Press NEXT or }/> 1 until all the tracks stored
" together with their program number have ap-
peared on the display.
