SETTING THE TIMER
— The timer has two time switches which can be
used independently from one another, indicated
on the display by TIMER A and TIMER B. They
must be set when the unit is switched off.
— You should enter both a start and an end time. A
start time only is not sufficient!
-— Switching to radio reception is only possible for
preset stations.
— Switching to cassette playback is only possible
if the cassette is in DECK 2.
~ Switching to a sound source connected to the
AUX input is not possible.
e Press PROGRAM.
— TIMER appears on the display and A, B, SLEEP
and SNOOZE flash.
e Press A.B.
— TIMER, ON and A appear on the display and
REPEAT and —- -:-
— flash.
e Press ADJUST.
— REPEAT disappears and CD, TUNER and TAPE
Start to flash.
e Press
CD, TUNER
or TAPE.
In the case of
TUNER, then enter the required preset station.
lts number, wavelength and frequency appear
on the display. The flashing of REC does not
mean anything here.
e Press ADJUST again.
The indication of the sound source selected re-
mains lit and —-: starts to flash.
e Using the digit buttons, enter the switching-on
time.
This starts to flash.
Press ADJUST again to confirm it.
Now :-— flashes.
Enter the required number of minutes.
This starts to flash.
Press ADJUST again.
The switching-on time is now set.
—-: starts to flash again and OFF appears on the
display.
Enter the switching-off time.
This starts to flash.
Press ADJUST again to confirm it.
Now :-- flashes again.
Enter the required number of minutes.
This starts to flash.
Press ADJUST again.
The switching-off time is now also set and dis-
appears from the display.
Press PROGRAM to store the times.
Time switch A ts now set.
The normal time indication reappears.
Press TIMER to activate the timer.
TIMER appears on the display.
The unit is now switched on and off at the times
selected.
To set time switch B, repeat the whole procedure,
but now press AB
twice; B then remains lit on
the display.

Notes:
— The
switching
times
selected
only function
once, although they reappear on the display if
you set new times.

— If the switching times are the same for each
day, press REPEAT on the TIMER panel after
you have pressed A.B. REPEAT then remains
lit on the display.
— As long as the display shows TIMER, you can
not operate the unit with POWER or the source
selection buttons. You can switch off the timer
temporarily by pressing TIMER; TIMER then dis-
appears from the display.
REPEATED ALARM SIGNAL
— If you use the unit to wake you up, once woken
up you can shut off the sound temporarily with
SNOOZE. An interval of 5 minutes is set at the
factory. You can confirm or change this to any
time required between 1 and 99 minutes.
— When
setting the alarm signal to repeat, the
TIMER indication should not be lit. If necessary,
press TIMER. However, do not forget to activate
the timer again afterwards.
- © Press PROGRAM.
— TIMER appears on the display and A, B, SLEEP
and SNOOZE flash.
e Press SNOOZE.
— The display shows TIMER, SNOOZE and 5.
e Press ADJUST.
— 5 starts to flash.
e Using the digit buttons, enter the required num-
ber of minutes.
— This begins to flash.
e Press ADJUST again to confirm.
— The minute indication disappears fromm the dis-
play.
e Press PROGRAM
to store the number of min-
utes.
— The normal time indication reappears.
e After
the
unit
has
started
to
play,
press
SNOOZE if you want to be woken up again.
-— SNOOZE appears on the display.
— After the set interval has elapsed, the unit Is
switched on again. SNOOZE goes out
Notes:
- The time interval set remains
stored
in the
memory.
You can always activate it again by
pressing SNOOZE.
— To check the time interval, press PROGRAM
and SNOOZE;
it then appears on the display.
Then press PROGRAM twice.
AUTOMATIC RECORDING OF A PRESET STATION
° Insert the cassette in DECK 2.
Press PROGRAM.
Using A.B select time switch A or B.
Press ADJUST.
Press TUNER.
All numbers
of the preset stations and REC
flash on the display.
Press RECORD on the TIMER panel.
REC is now lit continuously.
Using the digit buttons, enter the number of the
required preset station. Its number, wavelength
and frequency appear on the display.
Press ADJUST again.
Enter the time at which the prograrnme starts.
