3. Disconnect one lead of the defibrillation cable while the defibrillator
is still analyzing. Three beeps will sound and the following CRT
message will flash:
¢ TO ANALYZE:
CONNECT DEFIB PADS
4. Reconnect the lead to the Patient Simlator and three beeps will sound
and the CRT will display;
¢ ANALYZING NOW,
STEP BACK
PIP-Motion Detection
1. Press VF on the patient simulator, then press and hold the MOTION
pushbutton to send a simulated motion signal into the instrument.
2. Press ANALYZE and verify:
e The CRT displays TO ANALYZE: STOP MOTION
e A priority three tone sounds
3. Continue to hold down the MOTION pushbutton an additional 30
seconds and verify:
e The CRT displays MOTION DETECTED
CANNOT ANALYZE
e A priority three tone sounds
4. After another 20 seconds, verify the ANALYZE LED is off and the
motion message disappears.
PIP-Test Load
1. Connect the defibrillator cable to the test load contacts and check that
a roll of paper is in the recorder.
2. Press CHARGE on the adapter.
3. Press both discharge buttons simultaneously on the adapter and
verify:
e The recorder annotates the appropriate data.
e The CRT displays TEST 200 JOULES DELIVERED.
