7.16 Perform an update

Additional beeps
The following additional beeps are played and are not switched off even
if the sound is switched off:
● A beep sounds when the set torque value is reached.
● A beep sounds when the motor rotates in reverse direction.
● A beep sounds when 75% of the set torque (Ncm) is reached/
exceeded.
Sounding the beep when 75% of the set torque is reached can be
switched off, see under "Settings" / "General Settings".

Perform an update
New updates can be found in the QR code under "Settings" / "Online
resources [→ 43]" or at www.dentsplysirona.com.
ü The unit is not connected to the power supply system.
ü The USB stick is in FAT 32 format.
1. Save the software update on the USB stick. Make sure that there
are no other data on the USB stick.
2. Loosen the screw on the underside of the unit base with a PZ1
wrench and remove the cover. The screw used to fasten the cover
is a Torx screw.
3. Remove the battery if the USB stick does not fit next to it. To do
this, you must also detach the handpiece cable.
4. Connect the USB stick to the USB interface on the unit.
5. Connect the unit to the power supply system.
6. Switch on the unit.
7. Go to "Settings" and tap on the "Update" button.
Ä A new window opens.
8. Confirm implementation.
Ä The update starts and may take several minutes.
9. The unit restarts after the update.
10. Switch the unit off and disconnect the power plug.
11. Remove the USB stick.
12. If you removed the battery, insert it by swiveling it into the housing
until it engages.
13. Plug the handpiece cable back in.
14. Fasten the cover firmly back on the unit base with the same screw.
Tip: Note the cable and the corresponding cable routing on the unit
base.
