Cause
Engine switch in "OFF" position
Fuel shut-off valve in "OFF" position
No fuel
Faulty spark plug
Spark plug is disconnected
Unit is loaded during start up
Out of fuel
Low oil level
Air in the hydraulic oil system
Debris lodged in beam guides
Low hydraulic oil
Faulty control valve
Faulty hydraulic pump

Solution
Move switch to "ON" position
Move valve to "ON" position
Add fuel
Replace the spark plug
Connect the spark plug
Move valve handle back and forth,
remove load
Fill the fuel tank
Fill the crankcase to the proper oil level
Purge air by extending and retracting the
wedge several time until motion is smooth
Clear debris from beam
Check oil level and add as needed
