4.9.2.
Replacing/Installing Software
on the Master Option Board
Remove the Master Option Board
following the procedure outlined in
Section 4.9.1.
Remove
the
EPROM
from
J23
using an IC extractor.
Carefully
insert the
replacement
EPROM
into position J23, with the
notche facing toward connectors
X3, X4, X5, and X6 on the left side
of the board.
Firmly
press
on
the
EPROM
to
seat it in the socket.
Reinstall the Master Option Board
following the procedure outlined in
Section 4.9.5.

Activating/Deactivating MOB

Backup Battery
Refer to Figure 4-6.
Remove the Master Option Board
following the procedure outlined in
Section 4.9.1.
To
activate
battery
back-up,
remove jumper X7 from between
pins
1
and
2,
and
install
it
between pins 2 and 3.
To
de-activate
battery
back-up,
remove jumper X7 from between
pins
2
and
3,
and
install
it
between pins 1 and 2.
NOTE:
Always return jumper X7 to the
inactive
state
(between
pins
1
and
2)
when the board is not in service.
Install shorting jumper
if 4 Ch. DAC used in LOCATION 2

if 4 Ch. DAC. used in LOCATION 1
