Remove the idler pulley.

Remove the two mounting bolts securing the
right angle drive gear box to the cross support.
8.
Rotate the right angle drive gear box to bring the
pulley down. Remove the drive belt.
9.
Slip the drive belt into position on the drive pulley
and the transaxle pulley.
10.
Rotate the right angle drive back into position
and secure with the mounting bolts.
11.
Install the idler pulley.
12.
Release the clutch-brake pedal.
Adjust and
secure the drive belt guides. There should be a
gap of 1/8 to 3/16-inch between the belt and the
guides.
13.
Install the center frame cover.
14.
Install the drawbar assembly and reconnect the
battery.
ADJUSTING THE BRAKES (1210 and 1211 Tractors)
Brake adjustment:
During normal operation of this machine, the brakes
are subject to wear and will require periodic examina¬
tion and adjustment.
Brake adjustment check:
1.
To check brake adjustment, place a 1/2 inch
thick wood block between the single brake
pedal and the brake pedal lock (see Figure 25).
2.
With the 1/2 inch thick wood block installed, the
brake disc pads should be applying a light
amount of friction against the brake disc rotor. If
they are not. the brakes need adjustment (see
Figure 27).
ADJUSTING THE BRAKES (1204 Tractor)
Brake adjustment:
During normal operation of this machine, the brakes
are subject to wear and will require periodic
examination and adjustment.
With the clutch-brake pedal in the up position, take all
the slack out of the linkage by moving the brake arm
up and pulling the brake rod down. Then adjust the
nut to allow 1/4 to 5/16-inch clearance between the
spacer and brake arm. After adjusting, ensure proper
brake operation before operating the tractor. (See
Figure 24.)
