Example: Predator-Prey Model
Use the predator-prey model to determine the regional populations of a predator and its
prey that would maintain population equilibrium for the two species.
This example uses the model to determine the equilibrium populations of foxes and
rabbits, with initial populations of 200 rabbits (
These are the variables (given values are in parentheses):
R
=
number of rabbits
M
=
rabbit population growth rate without foxes
K
=
rabbit population death rate with foxes

Do you have a question about the TI-84 Plus and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
My TI84 plus CE will not convert a decimal to a fraction. I hit the math key and press 1 for FRAC. I get a ANS/FRAC notification. Then I press enter again and it continues to justs give the decimal as the answer. I **** in Normal Float Auto Real Radian MP modes. I have watched numerous videos and followed these instructions but get the same result...the repeated decimal. Can you please help?
Your TI-84 Plus CE may not be converting a decimal to a fraction due to mode settings or order of operations. Ensure MATHPRINT mode is enabled and check if you are using the correct key sequence:
Press [.] [number] [ALPHA] [F1] [4] [ENTER].
If the issue persists, verify that the calculator is not set to a mode that forces decimal output. You may also need to adjust settings in the [Mode] menu to ensure fractions are displayed correctly.

Will they work without batteries? Are they chareable
The Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus does not work without batteries. It uses 4 AAA alkaline non-rechargeable batteries and has an SR44SW backup battery to maintain settings during battery replacement. It is not rechargeable, and its USB port is only for communication, not charging.
