Connect the primary input cable with power supply of required input voltage. Refer to data plate on machine for Input voltage, IMAX and IEFF.

Page 9 Instruction Manual for ARC 170DC (W164) 15/12/2014 OPERATION For DC TIG welding the TIG torch should be connected to the negative socket, and the workpeice should be connected to the positive socket. Please note that the use of welding leads over 5 metres in length will require increasing the diameter of welding cable used in order to maintain and improve the performance of voltage output.

In order to prevent any possible failure or fault of this welding equipment, clean the dust at regular intervals with clean and dry compressed air of required pressure.
