Completing the test

Continue to test another function or end the test by changing the TESTMODE setting to Off. Restore
connections and settings to the original values, if changed for testing purposes.

Fault locator SMTRFLO

Prepare the IED for verification of settings outlined in Section
The fault locator function (SMTRFLO) depends on other functions to work properly, that is, phase
selection information from distance protection function and analog information supplied by the trip
value recorder function. Check that proper binary start and phase selection signals are connected
and voltage and current signals are configured (parameter settings).
The result is displayed on the local HMI or via PCM600. Distances to faults for the last 100 recorded
disturbances can be found on the local HMI under Main menu/Disturbance Records/Disturbance
#n(n = 1–100)/General Information
If PCM600 is used, the result is displayed on the recording list after upload, including loop selection
information.
