ScreenMaster RVG200
Paperless recorder
Terminal block failures
Measurement made easy
1 Introduction
There have been instances reported where some or all inputs
on an RVG200 analog input card have shown as failed
immediately after installation, with no apparent cause for the
failure. In rare cases, this can be attributed to a faulty analog
input card but the most common cause has been identified as
a problem affecting the connection strips within the terminal
block assembly.
The reason for potential failure is that during installation,
unscrewing the terminal connection, inserting the wire and
tightening the screw can cause the spring assembly inside the
terminal block to move, breaking its contact with the PCB.
